The Italian partnership continues its capacity building and policy learning activities with the public and private operators of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. This time the challenge concerns the ability to work as a team, to coordinate actions and objectives in order to enhance the heritage of the seven islands and to succeed in working together towards a concrete proposal of sustainable tourism.

The event, which is an opportunity to discuss the sustainable development of the seven Tuscan islands, will took place on 8 July from 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Elba island.
It will be possible to participate both in person (Museo Archeologico, Terrazza del Barcocaio) and online on the Zoom platform.

Today, the future of the Tuscan Archipelago depends on how the public and private players on the seven islands will manage to interact and cooperate, overcoming ancient and unjustifiable distances.
This is an awareness that Anci and Confesercenti Toscana have made their own, thanks to the activities held in recent months as part of the WinterMed project. It was during the participatory process that involved the islands' stakeholders in the creation of a Regional Action Plan for the Archipelago that a series of initiatives were born, which in recent months have been laying the foundations for a new shared sensibility, with the aim of creating a cohesive community that compares notes and works on projects and strategies, particularly on sustainable tourism.

The event will combine the theme of tourism with the promotion of local products and is intended to be a meeting that will be repeated every year to support the territories.

Speeches by administrators, scholars, experts and local producers will be given throughout the day, and a visit to the Rio Mining Park will be included in the afternoon.
